Compromise

Co-promising Your Life

Talking with friends yesterday, the word fraud came up and an article I had previously written popped into my awareness. The article was called Tinkering to Get the Fraud Out (June 2007).  I went to the Blog to re-read it and the first two paragraphs jumped out.

“Recently, I watched an interview with Brian Dennehy. As he talked animatedly about his long, illustrious career as an actor, one sentence he used grabbed me and I found myself reaching for a pencil to capture the juicy phrase. Of his performances he said he was constantly, tinkering to get the fraud out. As I listened I wondered if we are constantly tinkering to get the fraud out of our lives as well.”

“The answer came in three parts. Prior to awareness of choice our tinkering is automatic and not to get the fraud out, but to survive. We don’t stop to evaluate our attempts to protect and defend ourselves. We just do it. This is actually a free state of mind. From this state of ignorance, we act, from not knowing any better. Despite the free state of mind, nothing in our lives will dramatically change. Life will be predictable. Psychics will have no trouble telling you what tomorrow will look like, because it will look like today. Behaviors will continue status quo.”

One of my friends broke the word compromise into co and promise. As she said it a light-blub flickered on and I heard, as Paul Harvey used to say, the rest of the story. Compromise is a two-edged promise. Each of us is promised to God. That is our nature; it is who we are—God’s promise. We are divine beings. For some of us that promise is conscious, for others it is not. Compromise is problematic when we are consciously promised to God and act in ways that protect the mind—our ego.

Any time we fail to stand for truth and goodness something within us dies. When we deny or delay God’s awakening within us, a pale of darkness overshadows our Great Possibility. We bow to the small, egotistical mind, allowing it to take greater control of our lives. Our compromise glasses over the light and muffles our divine sound—that pulse within us. We dim. The pulse of Life, carried at our heart’s center, acts as a beacon for all wending their way Home to God. It beats within those who have chosen to undo the tentacles of ego and forgive everything mind has made back to the Holy. The reason for denial or delay doesn’t matter. The result is the same.

Once we have heard our inner voice we are forever beyond the state of ignorance, that place where actions spring from not knowing any better. Be happy that we feel the pain of compromise. It is a blessing that numbness has not settled into our bones. A heart breaking is a divine gift. It too is a beacon, a pulse of God given freely to those who walk this path.

Divine Healing Toolbox

1. Remove blockages by confessing your sins one to another (Jas. 5:14-18): Each person in the group (prayer ministers and person being prayed for) is to focus on Jesus with the eyes of your heart. Fix your eyes on Jesus and ask Him if there is anything that is blocking His healing power from flowing to you. Receive His response back by tuning to spontaneous thoughts and pictures. Make sure you are living a healthy lifestyle, which includes a nutritious diet, regular exercise, fasting/cleansing and stress-free living. Confess your sins based on what you receive. Learn to confess your sins moment by moment so you stand clean before the Lord. This group stance of humility and holiness releases God’s power.

2. The foundation for healing is entering God’s presence: The Lord said to one Christian colleague of Dr. Virkler’s (Professor at the online Bible college, Christian Leadership University), “First you must practice My presence. Then we’ll talk. My presence is really more important than My words. The healing takes place while in My presence.” Become Christ-conscious by worshipping Christ in your spirit. See Jesus transfigured in God’s light (Matt. 17:1-8). Ask for, see and release His healing power, which can be seen as light, and felt as heat and tingling. His power to heal is released through His presence.

3. Discover and deal with the root cause of the infirmity: Have the sick person, pray, “Holy Spirit, please show me the root cause of this sickness in my body.” (His body, his memory and the Holy Spirit within him know exactly what the root of the sickness is.) Then instruct him to quiet himself and tune to the voice and vision of God (i.e., spontaneous thoughts and spontaneous pictures) and share with you what comes to him. Apply the appropriate prayer.

4. Assume three parts to healing prayer: (removing pain, casting out demons, restoring body parts)
Speak to the pain to be removed. It is easy, builds faith once the person being prayed for feels some pain leave, and removes this distraction from the person being prayed for.
Firmly command the specific afflicting demons to be loosed. Assume demons in most/all situations. Demons were frequently involved in the conditions Jesus healed, as is suggested by comparing the summary description in Mark 1:39 with the parallel summary statement of Matt. 4:23:
Mark 1:39 “So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.
Matt. 4:23 “Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.
Speak lovingly and specifically to the damaged body parts to be restored to their normal function.

5. Receive divine revelation: As you see Jesus and watch His healing power and light pour into a person, ask Him to show you exactly what needs to be healed and how He wants to heal it. Receive His answer by tuning to spontaneous thoughts and pictures, and act in obedience on what He is telling you. Engage the prayer-type that the Spirit leads you to–petition, command, or pronouncement.

6. Team up for greater revelation: Two or three prayer ministers who are all open to God showing them any keys to removing blocks and sharing what they are receiving with the group which then acts upon it, will generally widen the reception of divine revelation and very quickly break the yoke of the infirmity, restoring the person to health.

7. Powerful prayers which detach demons: Person being prayed for and prayer counselors stay tuned to flow and act upon impressions to pray in any of the following ways: 1. Forgiving anyone God brings to mind; 2. Confessing any sins God brings to mind; 3. Breaking generational sins and curses; 4. Severing ungodly soul ties; 5. Replacing negative beliefs; 6. Renouncing inner vows; 7. Breaking word curses; 8. Receiving inner healing through seeing visions of Jesus in the memory; 9. Casting out demons. All of these can be covered systematically with a “Contributing Strands Worksheet” found at cwgministries.org free books section and see Dr. Mark Virkler and Dr. Patti Virkler’s book, Prayers that Heal the Heart (Bridge-Logos, 2001), for full discussion of these issues.

8. Anoint with oil: Use oil that has been prayed over for an impartation of divine healing power (James 5:14-15).

9. Intensify the flow of healing power by seeing: Ask for and see Jesus’ divine healing light and power radiating onto and into the person; see it focused on the infirmity, and thank the Lord that the anointing is being released and entering the body.

10. Give a divine radiation treatment: Have a group of two to five people keep their hands (both hands – so an electrical circuit is completed) on a sick person for 10-20 minutes releasing God’s power/light into him.

11. Get feedback regularly: Ask the person how he or she feels (better, same, worse), and respond as necessary.

12. See it done: Hold in your mind a detailed faith-picture of the person healed and say, “Thank You, Lord. That is the way it is going to be, because your power is healing this person.”

THE NEW PSYCHICS: Who Are They and What Can They Do?

They are the New Psychics and Spiritual Healers of the New Millennium. Who are these gifted men and women who are redefining our spiritual values? They are dream interpreters, metaphysical ministers, psychics…

There is an intense renewed interest in Spiritual values and a spiritual life.

It seems that everybody is reading the new books. Dan Brown’s ANGELS & DEMONS, THE DA VINCI CODE and THE LOST SYMBOL.  Baigent, Leigh & Lincoln’s THE HOLY BLOOD AND THE HOLY GRAIL. Alan F Alford’s GODS OF THE NEW MILLENNIUM. Colin Wilson’s FROM ATLANTIS TO THE SPHINX.

One of the positive results of the fascinating PSYCHIC DREAMS PROJECT (a project that asks the question: “Can dreams predict our future?”) has been an increase in the Feminine as a dream-theme. Feminine Wisdom, the goddess and the female virtues of nurturing, healing, wisdom and guidance have all increased as dream-themes. Who are the real-life Women (and the Men who help them) who represent these virtues? Where can they be found?

And a number of bright new talents have emerged into the public consciousness with the new Century. Bright new talents who are teaching, guiding and healing us spiritually. Who are they?

Meet Psychics like CHANDRIKA:

In her teenage years, she was drawn to the Tarot and found that she connected powerfully to the messages contained within their ancient symbols. In no time at all, she discovered her innate ability to piece together the picture the cards laid out in such a way that she was able to provide clear and concise readings for all who came to call.

As she continued to work with the cards for many years, her intuition developed and eventually outgrew the confines of the techniques she’d already mastered. What she required was a bigger pot of knowledge to dip into. Thus, she set out to find psychic teachers who became her mentors and friends. They helped her to discover new and untested metaphysical waters and to explore an even larger world of psychic tools that were all around her.

She learned to work closely with the healing energy of Angels. She found that she enjoyed the positive and uplifting messages they provided to her clients. She is also a proud member of the Hamilton Witches and is constantly looking for new ways to improve her life as well as the lives of the people who seek out her counsel.

Chanrika’s professional career started around the time of high school, where she began by reading Tarot for friends and family. As she matured and began to explore all that life had to offer, she put aside the cards in favor of pursing her other interests.

However, it wasn’t long before she realized that reading Tarot was a powerful interest that could not be ignored for long. She was once again drawn in by the lure of the cards and the nagging belief that counseling others with her psychic abilities was a big part of what she was meant to do.

When she picked the cards up again, she immediately became aware that her abilities had grown and she was more in tune with the messages that came through than ever before. She knew she needed to take her talents a step further and in 2005, she decided to expand her services to include on-line and e-mail readings for a greater array of clients. She has also been invited to read at private parties with as many as fifteen clients present in one room. Despite the large number in attendance, Chandrika proved able to maintain her focus and to the amazement of her satisfied clientele, she has impressed each and every participant with the amazing accuracy of her readings.

She is a practicing witch, residing in Ontario, Canada. Those around her would describe her as fun loving, compassionate, empathic to those around her, and selfless. She also possesses a humorous side that instantly draws you in, and compels you to stick around for the fun. She has a wonderful family made up of her husband, two beautiful daughters, and two cats named Prince and Shadow.

Chandrika enjoys giving back to her community by volunteering every summer to coach baseball. She loves all varieties of music, but her favorite band is “Good Charlotte,” which drives her eldest daughter mad, mainly because Mom knows more about them than she does. Though she is content with her family and her ability to help others, it’s her lifetime goal to one day own a store that will benefit and enlighten all who enter.

CIARA: A highly accurate and proficient tarot reader, Ciara has practiced her craft since she was eight. She has since added healing stones, the pendulum, and her own brand of uncanny intuition to the mix, tailoring her gifts to the needs of the client.

Over the past several years, Ciara has dazzled her loyal clientele, as well as her psychic peers by giving readings that have helped countless people to achieve their hopes and desires. Since she first made her home at psychic web, her loyal clients have lined up in her electronic room, patiently waiting for a reading with Ciara because they know she is worth the wait. Her patience, compassion, humor and non-judgmental manner attract clients from all walks of life. Of that fact, she is most proud. Once they have a reading with her, she has gained a friend for life.

An adventurous Aquarius, she has a hunger for knowledge. She is currently filling that need by advancing her studies in the nursing field, a life-long dream she is finally accomplishing. During her free time, when she’s not chasing her four active kids, she enjoys competitive bowling and volunteers her time to local fundraisers and various causes.

LILY: Lily lives in upstate New York. She enjoys its majestic setting, appreciating the beautiful lakes and changing seasons. Her family includes a wonderfully supportive husband, her cat-familiar, Isis, and Loki, their outrageous ferret who makes them laugh and appreciate life’s little joys and wonders.

As a member of the amazing new PSYCHIC ACCESS, she has provided private one-on-one readings at her home and at several New Age bookstores in her area. Recently, she’s begun offering her services online as a way to spread her gifts around to a much broader audience, thus helping a greater number of people. She’s also been the featured attraction at small, private psychic parties, enjoying the conversation and mutual growth that these intimate gatherings provide. Her work online is reminiscent of this approach, which serves to confirm her sense that she is where she is meant to be.

The gifts of psychic and empathic awareness and of healing and energy cleansing have allowed the universe to work through Lily in ways that have changed countless lives. For over a decade, she’s worked with numerous tools and methods of divination that have enabled her to clearly see into anyone’s past, present and future.

Her use of tarot cards and runes has helped her to establish a clear and coherent connection with her clients and their guides. Rather than recite meanings verbatim from a book, she uses her own intuition to read the cards and/or stones. Often she has seen startling and completely unexpected images that have nothing to do with the literal meanings of the symbols that are presented. She’s learned to trust her abilities, and has found that when she does, the message she conveys has a direct bearing on the client’s personal situation. She is clairvoyant, clairaudient, and also a gifted medium for guides and spirits who have important messages and truths they need to deliver.

She is a heritage witch, believing in the strict adherence to the threefold law which states that any action taken will return three times to the person who began it. When helping others to deal with their problems, she brings the power of magick and the universe to bear, while ensuring that no additional karma is created that will impact negatively upon the client later on…

HEARTLIGHT: She first became aware of her psychic abilities as a young girl when she realized she could sense as well as see images that weren’t apparent to anyone else. It took a lot of years before she could shake off the cultural conditioning she had as a child which taught her that the use of her psychic sixth sense was wrong. But, by the time she reached her twenties, she had developed her own independent views of what was right and wrong and she finally felt ready to embrace her psychic gifts.

Heartlight has since come to think of her abilities as a blessing bestowed upon her at birth and has made it her life’s purpose to share these gifts with others. She started her career reading for friends and family and later branched out, providing her services professionally to the public.

For over thirty years, she has professionally worked as a psychic, offering her clients a broad range of talents she has spent many years mastering. This includes training as a motivational and relationship coach, and experience as a medical intuitive. Heartlight is also skilled with Tarot and can communicate with spirit guides. In her readings, she also incorporates her natural abilities as a clairvoyant and clairaudient. Her work experience includes several jobs on various psychic advice lines and she has provided readings through her own web page on a referral website.

Now in her fifties, Heartlight has truly “hit her stride” and lives what she considers to be a small, but valuable life, full of joy, contentment and balance, in the Northwestern corner of the United States. She cultivates an attitude of gratitude and endeavors to help solve the world’s problems by not being one of the world’s problems. She likes to say,“Power is where power is perceived!” She has a love for anything Celtic and owns a great deal of jewelry, tapestries, shawls and drums with Celtic knots. She loves sharing her visions with others and providing the healing that’s needed so that her clients may live their lives to their fullest potential.

RESMYRRANDA: Resmyrranda has been a professional clairaudient and clairvoyant tarot reader for eleven years, giving online readings to people from around the world. Her ongoing psychic development studies include: The Jose Silva Ultramind ESP and Remote Viewing courses. A fourth generation mystic, she also holds ministerial and doctorate credentials with the Church of Seven Planes and The Universal Life Church.

A natural intuitive, she began developing her abilities in the early ‘90s after the death of a close family member. This spirit “telephoned” her frequently in her dreams, letting her know that her number wasn’t really disconnected. It was then she began to weave together her clairvoyant, clairsentient and empathic abilities along with the spiritual teachings she received as a child. As technology grew, and more opportunities existed for psychics on the internet, she gave up the unrewarding nine to five grind in favor of her spiritual calling Quickly, she began to develop a varied and devoted clientele and has read for them over the internet for the last five years. Clients sing her praises, stating that she calms their spirits and reaches out to them in ways that deliver hope and comfort. Resmyrranda continues to develop her abilities, believing that as a psychic counselor she owes it to her clients to keep her skills honed.

Spirits draw pictures through the use of her Thoth tarot deck–her favorite–to reveal the characters and situations connected to the client with uncanny clarity. She also relies on her spirit guide, Tony, a colorful personality, who can often be blunt as well as humorous. If you find yourself off course with your relationship, career, or need to know your purpose in life, Resymyrranda has the skills and the compassion to gently guide you on your way.

She is a Capricorn who enjoys music, movies, writing, and studying the connections between electronics and the supernatural. She produces and hosts her own internet radio show called “Resmerized.” Presently, Resymyrranda lives in Texas with her adult son and her soulmate, whom she met online through her show…

SUNNYGRACE: A Master Tarot reader, she uses her psychic abilities to tune into the cards and listen to the guides who are there to help her clients deal with the issues that require tending to. Though she was born with the gift of clairaudience, the ability to hear messages, she’s worked hard at developing other tools to enhance her readings. In 1977, she joined the Spiritualist Church where she studied under Reverend Frances Scher. From the Reverend, she learned to communicate with the spirit world and relay messages from “The Beyond.” Over the years, she’s found Tarot to be a marvelous tool to help fine-tune her readings. She also mastered the art of automatic writing and drawing and found that she could not only channel her guides through that practice, but she could hear them as well.

She let her creative and intuitive powers guide her to the solution and came up with her own self-designed oracles. She then added the technique of psychometry to her repertoire, a skill she learned from a Master teacher while studying mediumship…

Why and how to wear a Tallit

The Tallit also pronounced as Tallis, is a special prayer shawl worn by Jews when they recite their morning prayers. It can also be worn during the Jewish holidays as well as during Sabbath.

How does the Tallit look like?

The Tallit is a special shawl that has knotted fringes on four corners. These fringes are known as tzitzit. It is also known as arba kanfot. As per Biblical commandments, the tzitzit is supposed to contain blue thread.

Ancient traditions

As per traditional Jewish customs, the Tallit is gifted by a father to his son or teacher to student. Most synagogues have plenty of such Tallit shawsl for the Jewish devotees.

Personal devotional space

The modern Tallit is still worn by every Jewish devotee. As per the custom of the Jews, the Tallit should never be worn on the skin directly. It should always be worn over some clothing. In fact, the word Tallit is derived from two words namely Tal and Ith. Tal means tent and ith means little. Hence, the Tallit is a small tent, which can be worn to create a personal space to express one’s devotion.

Men and women wearing Tallit

Traditionally, it is mostly men who wear the Tallit as women are not obligated to wear it. However, authorities such as the Rambam, Isaac ibn Ghiyyat permit women to wear the Tallit. Jewish women are exempt from the Jewish commandment performance and hence wearing the Tallit can be considered as an act of arrogance. However, in today’s times, women can wear the modern Tallit.

Unity in differences

When praying amidst a congregation, the Tallit helps neutralize any exterior differences. Thus, while people of different financial status and ethnicities pray, there is no difference between them because all the people wear Tallits.

Colors and materials

The modern Tallit comes in several colors, black and blue being the most popular. The black Tallit is used for mourning while the blue one looks like the Israeli flag. Other colors can represent various aspects or things. Materials commonly used in the Traditional Tallit include silk, wool, linen, acrylon etc.

Things to ensure while wearing

If you are a woman and wish to wear the Tallit there are a few things you need to keep in mind namely:

  • Neckband held at either end
  • Fringes are correct and held in place
  • Repeat the blessing
  • Place the Tallit over your head. Bring the neckband as near the mouth as possible
  • Bring the Tallit across the shoulders

While wearing a Tallit it is essential that you say the blessing or prayer. In this manner, you heighten the awareness of wearing this religious garment. While putting on the Tallit you need to hold one end of the garment at either end of your collar. The Hewbrew words on the Tallit need to be towards you and be placed so their right side is upwards. You can kiss all the ends of the collar or atarah during this point.

Jewisheart is an online store selling Tallit, Shofar and other jewish related accessories at special prices over the internet.
